With this year’s edition of the Paris-Nice cycling race drawing closer, Richie Porte and Alberto Contador will be getting set to go head-to-head against each other as some of the top cyclists such as Wout Poels, Alejandro Valverde, and Geraint Thomas will be absent for the cycling event.
Early January saw Porte blasting out of the blocks in this year’s the Tour Down Under in and although he hasn’t raced in Europe this year, he remains one of the hottest favorites for the Paris-Nice cycling race.

There was news all over the internet that the Spaniard cyclist Alberto Contador might sign to ride in the US registered team Trek Segafredo team in 2017.
Now, the rumors have come true as Alberto has indeed put pen to paper and signed the deal with Trek Segafredo.
The brother and agent of Alberto Contador have said that the Tour De France cyclist has signed the dotted line after agreeing to the final terms. The deal with Trek Segafredo was signed in Andorra. The agreement says that Contador will be part of the team for the next two years and the second year will be an optional one for both the sides.
Alberto, the 33 year old rider, is expected to rope in two more riders to the Trek Segafredo team and there is every chance for Jesus Hernandez to be part of the team. The Dutch rider is currently in the top ten of the Tour De France season race and will be participating as Contador’s teammate for Trek Segafredo. The overall leader of the race Maciej Paterski was ahead of Alberto Contador by 2:50 minutes in the stage of Volta Ciclista a Catalunya. In the stage four of the upcoming mountains, the Spaniard wishes to close on the gap starting from Tona to La Molina. Contador believes that he will not be able to counter the advantage which others have. As it is he also believes that before the Giro, Catalunya is his next race so it will be a training race as well for him. They will take time in GC.
Paterski stands tall amidst all ahead of four seconds after which Pierre Rolland and Bart de Clerq stands. One of the favourite GC riders, Contador lost. The teammates of Movistar had a lot to accolade themselves. The teammates proved that they were focused and it was this concentration that avoided any sort of problem and all the supplies were brought to them. Valverda joined the club of number four. Time to come out of Milas-San Remo is a challenge.

Oleg Tinkov states that he finds Contador to be a strong competitor in the sport of cycling.
The owner of Tinkoff-Saxo, Oleg Tinkov states clearly that Contador is the best of his generation. Heading into the season of 2015, Alberto Contador is proving to be strong. He is attempting to win Tour de France as well as Giro d’Italia.
It is his 33rd year and he is opting for retirement as well but if he is going to capture doubles, he is sure to think about hanging up his boots. Going by the last year 2014, things are speeding up for him as it was calmer and lighter earlier.
There is no doubt that Contador has received criticisms in the past but for the upcoming generation as well as for the ongoing generation he is considered to be the best rider.
